the mighty storm

                                                                      THE STORM


We were away from school last Friday due to a severe storm that forced people in doors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from that motivation:

Last Friday my home town had a massive storm my Aunty said that 'this storm was the worst since the wahine'. Our dad had thankfully found some 7 hour candles. We watched a movie on my sisters laptop it was called after The Funeral - we had dreadful leaks (one that hadn't leaked in years).


After the movie I went to bed when I woke up all I could hear was water dripping from the roof and wind wind wind! When I got down stairs me and mum played a thrilling game of cards I won. At around 10:30 we got power and I practically watched t.v from then on.

                                                                         INQUIRY LEARNING



This term we are learning about what's inside the body I am studying the lungs did you know that the left lung is smaller than the right lung because it needs to make room for the heart. The lungs are protected by the rib cage and they are pink and if you could see them they would be rubbery.

Pulse vs mystics

On Monday me Caitlin, Emi, Peta, Angela, Mum and my auntie Viv we went tok the Wellington Pulse vs Northern Mystics I sat next to Emi and Peta and Caitlin and Angela sat behind us we got the tickets from one of mums friend named Karen.I really enjoyed the netball game me and Caitlin were taking pictures and movies

                                                                                MATHS


This week in maths we have been learning about how to make equations easier by using tidy numbers. We do maths in Pukeko with miss Martell instead of  Kakapo class. Its fun in maths I am always by Caitlin.

        This is the cat from next door named Mila. this is her today in one of  weka's rubbish bins. Shes so FLUFFY.
